Interviews with Children and Young People
In Phase 1, we carried out ‘play and talk’ sessions with 10 children aged three to eight. In Phase 2 we are speaking with 20 children/young people. Children and their carers/adoptive parents are both required to give consent and are being reminded they can change their minds.
We are exploring children and young people’s perspectives on family, connections with important people, school and friendships and experience of support. Children’s age range is 8 to 14 years in 2022, so a mixture of activities is being used to enable maximum flexibility around children’s age and stage, interests and preferences.
